The Prodigal Son by Danielle Steel

I love Danielle Steel books, there I said it!  They are my guilty pleasure and go to novels when I want something fun to read.  I can’t ever put them down and usually end up reading the book until 2 or 3 in the morning because I need to know how it ends.

Running a little behind, usually I have the newest book read within days of it coming out, but it’s done.

Prodigal Son is a little different from most of her books, without giving the story away, this one is a really great book.  We all have become familiar with her writing style and know that each character is going to deal with lost love or tragedy only to rebuild their life.  I love how she weaves in a little history to some books and when writing about fashion she knows her fashion houses, her books are well researched.

The Prodigal Son is the story of two brothers, a real Cain and Abel story, when one brother does the unthinkable and you can’t believe the power of lying and manipulation that he holds so close to the cuff.  This book is dark, and you are sucked into a world of evil; evil that lives in some people and what it takes to bring that evil out.  I was hooked from the first page of the first chapter and was so tired the next morning after just a few hours of sleep, but so worth it, I had closure.

I look so forward to meeting you back here next week to talk about a beautiful story of love found in the most unexpected places.  Book Club should be awesome with the author joining us to talk about a very personal love story and how life brings us the unexpected and the joy that blossoms from opening our hearts.
