The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty

Have you read it?  If not, you absolutely need to read this book. I just finished The Husband’s Secret and loved, loved, loved it!  The quote on the opening page reads, “To err is human: to forgive, divine” ~ Alexander Pope The quote applies to this book in more ways than you can imagine. The Husband’s Secret is a book about lies, life changing secrets and moral dilemma’s.  It isn’t about one secret, but many and one is horrific, and not what you expect.

Prayers for Sale by Sandra Dallas

Prayers for Sale is a beautifully written story that takes place in a small Colorado mining town, Middle Swan.  The town is based on the author’s hometown of Breckenridge, Colorado. The story follows two incredibly strong women.  Hennie Comfort who is in the later years of life and Nit Spindle, a very young and newly married woman.  Their lives have similarities and so many differences, yet they form an incredible friendship.  Nit looks to Hennie first as a friend and then as a mother figure.  Nit tells Hennie “You remind me of home.”
