Property of a Noblewoman by Danielle Steel

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a beautiful Christmas season and a Happy New Years celebration. Did you find time over the holidays to carve out some peaceful time to curl up with a good book? I hope so. Surprisingly, I did, looking for a fun read after a bit of a rough year and crazy holiday season.  I chose another Danielle Steel book off of my list of her books I haven’t read, getting a little behind.  Property of a Noblewoman was a great book and is one of my favorites.  A little different than her other

Holiday Shopping Ideas for the Book Lover in Your Life

Good morning, Well, Thanksgiving is over and I hope yours was wonderful.  Are you one that loves to head out at midnight to start your holiday shopping, join the madness of Black Friday, or get cozy on the sofa and cyber shop? I am not a Black Friday or Thanksgiving weekend shopper.  Many of you may disagree with me, but it bothers me that these stores open on Thanksgiving taking their employees from friends and family on what should be a fun holiday to enjoy with those you love. This year I thought it would be fun to start a

A Fine Romance by Susan Branch

Happy Thanksgiving! If you have time to curl up with a book over the Thanksgiving holidays, A Fine Romance by Susan Branch tops my list of one of the best books I’ve read in 2016. I have let y’all know how much I love Susan Branch’s books, calendars, notecards, and art work.  This book doesn’t disappoint. A Fine Romance was written first, prior to The Fairy Tale Girl and Martha’s Vineyard Isle of Dreams, but completes the story and is good to read after Martha’s Vineyard, it ties it all together.

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

I stumbled upon Kristin Hannah’s books several years ago when I chose Home Front for book club.  If you haven’t read it, grab it or add it to your list, it really is a book you can’t put down. It deals with a woman in the military suffering from PTSD which is very prominent in today’s world.  Over the years, I have enjoyed more of her books; I can honestly tell you there isn’t one I haven’t loved. When November’s book club book was chosen and announced, I was thrilled to hear it was The Nightingale, by Kristin Hannah. You
