Still Life by Louise Penny

Do you love a good mystery?  Mysteries are not a genre that I read much and I don’t know why because I like a great mystery.  My curiosity gets the best of me if it is a great mystery novel and I have fun trying to figure out who dunnit before the end of the book. Still Life by Louise Penny was chosen for our August book club party and it was a joy to read.  The story takes place in the tiny village of Three Pines in Quebec.  A village of artist’s and hunter’s where everyone knows your name.

Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah

I can’t tell you how much I loved this book.  Kristin Hannah has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I just can’t get enough of her books.  Her style of writing is like having a conversation with a friend and her ability to tell a story is rare.
